At the Museum

Greeters

Welcome visitors, handle entry fees, and manage store sales.

Docents

Dive deeper into the exhibits by becoming a Docent. Greet and engage with visitors, sharing information about the current exhibit and artifacts in our permanent exhibits.

San Ramon Museum

Walking Tours

Get outdoors, explore your neighborhood, and enhance your understanding of our community by leading our walking tours of downtown Danville and the Alamo cemetery.

Programs for Kids

Contribute to the education of young minds by participating in our programs.

The “First Peoples” program for 4th graders runs from September through November at the Museum in Danville, while our “One Room Schoolhouse” program  operates from January through May at the One Room Schoolhouse on Finley Road.

Committees

Utilize your special skills and interests by joining one of our diverse committees, each playing a crucial role in keeping the museum running smoothly. Explore options such as:

Facilities

Undertake light building repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.

Exhibits

Assist with setup, takedown, construction, and staffing of exhibits.

Curator/Collections/Research

Collaborate with our curator to evaluate, receive, and process donations. Engage in research, special projects, and computer-related tasks.

Events

Contribute to planning, staffing, and refreshment provision for occasional and annual fundraising events and other special occasions.

Model Trains

Be a part of our popular summer exhibit featuring model trains.
